Celebrating 50 years of Local Real Estate!

In the late 1960’s the State Deputy Opposition Leader Mr Eric Lloyd started selling real estate in the seaside village of Coolum Beach under the banner of Eric Lloyd Real Estate. The township started growing and by the late 1970’s Eric Lloyd had built the premises “Lloyd Place” in which the Coolum Beach Real Estate office still operates.

In the late 1970’s radio announcer Wayne (Poo) Roberts purchased the business. In 1987 Lorraine Cush became a partner and in 1990 they rebranded the business to the Professionals Coolum Beach Real Estate. In 2013 the business simply became Coolum Beach Real Estate.

In 2014, after a long and successful career, Lorraine Cush retired and sold the business making way for the next generation of local owners to keep the name and reputation alive. In January 2015 under the new ownership and management of Principal Cara de Ryk and leading sales agent Steve Lane the agency has been completely modernised and been formally recognised as the leading agency in Coolum Beach winning numerous accolades and awards. As a result, the team has grown from 6 staff in 2015 to 13 full time property professionals in the team to date.

To remain a market leader over the last few years, we have adopted many innovations and new technology impacting the way we buy, sell & manage properties. However, Cara says “At the heart of our success is something that really hasn’t changed – a passion for our local area, genuine market knowledge and a real commitment to client and customer service.”
