Goodbye Coolum Visitor Centre

Thank you to the wonderful volunteers over many years who gave of their time in the centre. It’s sad to see it go! Good news though, the timber frames around the façade of the structure will be salvaged and re-purposed for the new Coolum Community Gardens.

Snake Alert

As the weather warms up we have been urged to keep your eyes peeled. Tickle park has had a number of reports of reptile activity recently.

Beach Safety

Sadly after the death of a swimmer a few months ago at First Bay, please remember to swim only between the Red and Yellow flags this Summer.
You may also notice a Drone hovering around our beach. Surf Lifesaving Australia is currently conducting testing of the usage of drones for surveillance of our beaches and oceans, and our own Coolum Beach is one of the areas selected throughout Australia to participate in this project.
