Splash Into Summer at these local Waterholes

All beached out? Check out a few of our favorite waterholes all within a stones throw from Coolum Beach

GARDNERS FALLS – 47mins
Head to Maleny and nestled along Obi Obi creek. They falls are a short walk from the car park and provide plenty of shallower swimming holes or the larger falls at the bottom. Plenty of places to picnic and a swing rope for the adventurous

SERENITY FALLS – 19mins
(pictured) A local fav, located in Buderim Forest Park. Take the timber walkway as it passes over the stream and up to the main falls through the palm lined forest. THere is also a nearby bridge with a beautiful view of the falls and swimming hole. Lots of places to enjoy a picnic in the shade or spread out on the grassed area at the start of the walk.

KONDALILLA FALLS – 36mins
Kondalilla, an Aboriginal word meaning ‘rushing waters’, describes this park’s waterfall during the summer wet season. Located between montville and Flaxton, Its part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. A larger rock pool is at the top of the falls via a short walk or the full circuit walk takes you to the base of the falls through the eucalypt and rainforest species.
