I have been living in Coolum Beach for over 15 years and am fortunate enough to have been one of Coolum's leading agents for the past 10 years. It's fair to say over this time I've seen a lot of property from beachside shacks to luxury homes. In selling hundreds of properties in that time, I've also hosted thousands of open homes and private inspections and negotiated plenty of contract conditions over my career. Above all, the one thing I never tire of is educating people about the local area and what makes it so special.

Why I love my job.
I believe that a great agent has to have the ability to find out just how much a buyer is prepared to pay for a property. Most agents simply find the lowest price an owner will accept.
It certainly takes a bit more work, but I love the feeling of exceeding my vendor's expectations and the recognition of doing a great job.

How do I get my sellers great results.
I see it as my role to partner with my vendors and guide them through the entire sales process.
Firstly I ensure we are set up to achieve the best possible price for their property.
Secondly, I make sure their selling experience feels personal and is stress-free.
I do this by carefully preparing their property for market and then implementing a well-thought-out marketing strategy while keeping the communication lines open at all times.
I also know the local area and property market intimately, not all agents do.

On a personal note.
My wife Cara and I purchased the agency in 2015 after working for several national franchise groups. We wanted our agency to be a boutique offering where we pride ourselves on service and quality not the number of sales and head office targets.

Cara plays an integral role by providing ongoing support from marketing, operations, and buyer management. My daughter also works in real estate and has inherited the same passion, regularly winning awards for her achievements.  When we aren't busy at work we like to recharge by taking time out to travel in Australia and overseas. I've experienced some beautiful parts of Australia and the world, but always love returning to my home overlooking the bays of Coolum. In our time off we love swimming at First Bay (our local) and enjoy picnics and bushwalking at Noosa National Park. Mornings usually start with either a swim at the local pool, pilates, gym or out in the surf.

Previous to real estate, I managed hotels and pubs throughout QLD and WA. I think the hospitality industry forms a great base for a successful real estate career. It’s a service industry and takes excellent communication, high energy, and a genuine desire to listen to and help people if you want to stand out from the crowd.
